How We Do It

Partnership work is at the heart of the growth agenda, and partnership working is a core function for the entire Horizons team.
Horizons' role is to bring together the relevant agencies, statutory bodies, developers, and other interested parties, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest possible standards.
Horizons' has a crucial role to play and one that involves a wide range of responsibilities, from project management of the major developments to securing and managing additional funding streams. Other important roles include developing Quality of Life and sustainable infrastructure strategies, championing low carbon growth, and researching innovative new funding streams.
The team also seeks to manage and resolve any differences between partners, and coordinate a communications and community engagement strategy for growth in partnership with local authorities to help ensure the community are kept informed and given the opportunity to have their say on the growth of their county.
A team of 22 full time and part time staff (15 FTE equivalents) deliver these tasks by working in conjunction with our partners, and other associated organisations. Find out more about what each Horizons team member is responsible for here.
