Laura Halstead - Former Communications Manager

Laura joined the Cambridgeshire Horizons team in April 2008 with a wealth of experience in PR and Marketing, most recently as PR Manager at Suffolk-based creative agency, Toolbox Marketing.

Prior to working for Toolbox Marketing, Laura gained valuable communications experience working at the Government News Network East (now known as COI East), Cambridge Assessment (formerly known as the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate) and Lotus Cars.

Laura has a degree in Psychosocial Studies from the University of East Anglia and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (ACIPR).

Laura's key areas of responsibility were:

• To communicate the growth agenda
• To engage with the local community
• To manage all forms of Horizons printed and published communications
• To manage the Finance and Business Administration teams
• To provide challenge and strategic advice as a part of the Horizons management team

After leaving Cambridgeshire Horizons Laura set up her own business, and will also working part-time for the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). Find out more here.
