Cycling
Cycling in Cambridgeshire is known for being great. Cambridgeshire is relatively flat and there are lots of cycle hire shops and facilities throughout the County, particularly in Cambridge itself, which has one of the highest cycle rates in the UK.
Cycling is another great form of sustainable transport that will also help to improve your health and wellbeing.
Travelling short distances on your bike is far better for the environment than driving alone. Cycling emits no pollution and also lowers congestion and traffic on our roads.
A good percentage of roads in Cambridge have designated cycle lanes allowing you to ride safely, avoid the traffic and travel quicker during rush hours.
Cycling also means you can often park for free right outside your destination and is a great way to view the local green spaces.
