Cambridgeshire Quality Panel
The Cambridgeshire Quality Panel is made up of twelve experts from various design, renewable energy and development backgrounds. This diversity plays an important role in assessing all elements of a development from design to the wider sustainability and functionality of a project. The Cambridgeshire Quality Panel assesses schemes against all four C's of the Cambridgeshire Quality Charter for Growth: community, connectivity, climate and character.
The principal purpose of the Quality Panel is to provide ongoing scrutiny of the emerging proposal for the major growth sites in Cambridgeshire, and to assist officers and members in upholding and reinforcing the high quality aspirations set out in the Cambridgeshire Quality Charter. The Panel will also support and challenge the in-house design and planning processes of the authorities, where required, in order to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved. It may also support local authorities in their own procurement and development process, for instant on the design of schools or community facilities, as required.
The role of the Cambridgeshire Quality Panel is to review major growth sites across the county and provide advice to developers/clients, their design teams and advise local planning authorities, with the aim of improving the quality of the development being proposed. The Panel seeks to give guidance that is:

- objective
- constructive
- balanced
- wide ranging
